The long awaited series of training videos was finally presented to Dr Daljit Hothi, Consultant Paedatric Nephrologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital in late April 2012. The presentation was made to an audience of senior medical and administrative personnel from GOSH as well as to representatives of the corporate medical world including those at CEO level.
The DVD set introduces GOSH with Deputy Chief Executive Fiona Dalton explaining why they initially commissioned the production, it then moves onto to a clinical explanation of ‘What is Dialysis’ from Dr Hothi which incorporates the various types of dialysis and the respective treatments available at GOSH. The final four DVDs in the set actually take the viewer through the process of dialysing a child at home using a particular home haemodialysis machine.
This particular project started way back in late 2010 and it has been a long but enjoyable journey. The Perceptions video and editing team built a strong and good relationship with Dal Hothi and her team, it makes work so much more pleasurable when you are able to work with pleasant people who look to help out whenever and wherever they can.
Viewers interested in either dialysis, Great Ormond Street or just in the video itself can view a short clip by clicking on the link or view more clips on the Perceptions website.
